We can now confirm that Setra (Lovelynx Et Seti-Ra) is pregnant by Mycene Howell Dha (Harry) at Flamstone Abyssinians.  Harry fathered our last litter with Setra’s mother Isis and between them they produced 3 lovely usual kittens with great temperaments, so we are hopeful that Setra and Harry’s litter will be as good, if not better!  With Setra there is every chance that the litter will be a mix of usuals and sorrels, however since we don’t know if she carried the dilute gene as yet, there is also a small chance of us getting fawn and blue too. So lots of possibilities and much to look forward!

Setra, is now showing a little bit of a ‘kitten bulge’ and keeping more to herself than she generally does from the other cats, though demanding lots of fuss from us. She is a very relaxed and content girl still and finds that her beanbag is a very comfy spot to nap on as her waistline slowly expands, though at night she’s taken to sleeping on my feet where her mother, Isis, usually curls up for the night.  Luckily Isis is content to let her do so... :)

Setra had an emergency spay after the kittens died and her own health and for that matter life were at serious risk. We are deeply saddened by the loss of the litter and her future breeding potential, but at the end of the day it’s Setra we needed to think of first and foremost.

We plan to have our next litter when Devlin can father a litter with Isis, probably - *** mid/late 2011 ***
