Kitten Agreements

Like most breeders we have a Kitten Agreement or Contract for the purpose of clarifying the rights and the responsibilities of both the new owner of the kitten, and of Lovelynx Abyssinians. You will therefore be asked to sign and keep a copy of a simple contract along the lines below:

Pet Kittens

We ask for the following to be met:

• To keep the cat in a relaxing and peaceful environment. 
• To keep vaccinations up-to-date.
• To seek veterinary attention if the cat is ill or injured.
• To neuter the cat, and not to let it be used for breeding.
• To contact ourselves if there is any need to re-home the kitten/cat for what ever reason.

Show or Breeding Kittens

We will only sell a Show and/or Breeding* quality kitten if we trust you enough to be responsible in the way you treat it. With a Show/Breeder contract we ask you to agree to the following:

• To keep the cat in a relaxing and peaceful environment. 
• To keep vaccinations up-to-date.
• To seek veterinary attention if the cat is ill or injured.
• To use of the cat for breeding (we will try to help you with advice and, if appropriate, stud services) and/or to show of the cat.
• To only breed the cat to other Registered, Pedigree Abyssinians on the Active Register who are PKDef Normal and clear from FIV and FeLV - blood testing required within 24hr prior to breeding.
• To keep us informed where possible of any show wins etc. as we’d love to add this info to our breeder site.
• To keep any of the offspring of breeding quality for breeding, or to sell them as Show/Breeder kittens or cats to equally responsible people - again we are happy to advise on this.
• We do however, we ask that you consult us before selling a cat for stud purposes.
